Holiday festivities announced at Bucks County Playhouse
At every evening performance for “It’s A Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play” from Dec. 13 – Dec. 30, the Bucks County Playhouse in New Hope will light its new, permanently planted Christmas tree in the Playhouse’s courtyard.
The ceremony will begin 30 minutes prior to curtain time when ShopRite, the official sponsor of It’s A Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play will honor dedicated community volunteers (ShopRite “Angels”) who have impacted the lives of others this past year. The Playhouse will then welcome representatives from families and organizations in the New Hope area that have made a significant difference in the life of the Playhouse over the last 73 years to officially light the tree. Theater tickets not are not required for the tree lighting.
In addition, ShopRite will be spearheading a food drive at the Playhouse during the run of the show that will benefit Fisherman Mark’s Food Pantry and the Delaware Valley Council of Churches. Patrons are encouraged to bring non-perishable items to drop in the bins at the Playhouse.
