Holland’s Ryan Jones named Mid-atlantic All-region
Dallas, Pa. — Marywood University senior Ryan Jones, of Holland, was recently named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of AmericaLContinental Tire NCAA Division III Mid-Atlantic All-Region team.
Jones, a graduate of Council Rock South who became the school’s first all-region representative in 2010, was named to the Mid-Atlantic’s second team for the third consecutive season.
Jones earned the CSAC Player of the vear award in this, his senior season after registering seven goals, four assists and 18 points in 2012, putting the defender third on the team in goals and points.
The former dolden Hawk was successful on three of four penalty-kick opportunities while producing two goals in a 5-4 double overtime win at Alfred on Sept. 8.
A four-time member of the CSAC’s first team, Jones won the conference’s Co-Player of the vear in 2011. He finished his career with 14 goals, 25 assists and 53 points.
The defender led the Pacers to a 1.56 goals-against average through the season and an 0.T3 dAA during conference play. Marywood finished with a 12-T-3 record, and was the runner-up in the ECAC South Region tournament in Erie.
