MLK Day volunteers to cleanup marsh
Advance correspondent BRfSTOL BOROrGH - solunteers are needed for Bristol Borough’s participation in the 2013 Dr. Martin Luther King Day of Service, which will focus on the cleanup of the Bristol Marsh Preserve, scheduled for 10 a.m. to noon on Jan. 21
The Heritage Conservancy, The Nature Conservancy, and Bristol Borough, invites volunteers to spend a day in service by cleaning up trash along the marsh, which is adjacent to the Mill Street Parking Lot.
solunteers should meet in the parking lot and wear warm boots suitable for walking on wet, muddy, uneven surfaces. Leather gloves are suggested. Other items that will be supplied at the site include gloves, trash bags and tools. Snacks, water and a light lunch will be provided to workers following the cleanup.

The project is funded in part through a National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration grant, administered by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, Coastal wone Management Program.

The MLK Day of Service is part of the national “rnited We Serve,” the President’s national call to service initiative.
