The following informatio­n is provided by the Newtown Township Police Department:

Friday, Jan. 18

DUI - At approximat­ely 8:35 p.m. police stopped a motorist on Buck Road near Mill Pond Road due to vehicle code violations. At the stop the driver, 58-year-old Robert Soboleski from Revere Drive in Holland, was taken into custody for DUI. He was taken to Saint Mary for a blood draw, which will be submitted to the Bucks County Crime Lab for analysis. The vehicle was towed from the scene

Saturday, Jan. 19

PUBLIC INTOuICATI­ON - While on patrol at approximat­ely 6:40 a.m. an officer observed a man staggering along Sycamore Street between Swamp Road and Jefferson Street. The man was identified as 21-yearold Jason Kenderdine of River Road in Upper Makefield. The officer detected a very strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and administer­ed a portable breath test that resulted in a positive result. Kenderdine was taken to his home without incident and informed that he would receive a citation in the mail charging him with public intoxicati­on.

NOT SO ABANDONED - Around 12:20 p.m. police were dispatched to the parking lot on Diamond Drive for an anonymous report of an abandoned vehicle. The responding officer located the vehicle and determined that it did not fit the criteria of an abandoned vehicle since it displayed valid registrati­on and inspection stickers. The officer also removed an unauthoriz­ed note that had been left on the car indicating that police were going to have the car towed from the location.

Sunday, Jan. 20

DUI - At approximat­ely 12:40 a.m. police arrested 50 year-old Joseph Siano of Penn Street in Newtown in the parking lot of the 7-11 on Sycamore Street for driving under the influence of alcohol and with a suspended license. Siano was taken to St. Mary Medical Center to have blood drawn for testing. Charges are pending the lab results.

INTOuICATE­D DRIsER - Police were dispatched to the area of the Newtown Bypass near Summit Trace Road for a report of a two-vehicle traffic accident with one of the drivers reportedly being intoxicate­d. When officers arrived and began to assess the situation one of the drivers, 52-year-old Deborah Cavalieri of Polo Run Road in Yardley, was asked and agreed to perform field sobriety tests. At the conclusion of the field tests and a portable breath test, Cavalieri was taken into custody and transporte­d to St. Mary Medical Center to have blood drawn for testing. Cavalieri refused to submit to a blood sample, so she was transporte­d to her home and released pending a criminal summons.

Thursday, Jan. 24

THEFTS FROM sEHICLES - A resident from Armstrong Circle called police at approximat­ely 8:20 a.m. to report that unknown persons had entered his unlocked vehicle overnight and rifled through the interior. The owner told the officer that nothing was removed from his car. Shortly before 8 p.m., a second resident of Armstrong Circle called police to report that between 8 p.m. on Wednesday Jan. 23 and 5:30 a.m. someone entered her vehicle that was parked in a driveway and removed $80 in cash from her purse that had been left in the car. The vehicle owner reported that she typically locks her vehicle, but thinks it may have been left unlocked since there were no signs of forced entry. plainant reported the theft of two bicycles sometime after the morning of Jan. 19. Both bikes had been chained and locked to a sign post on East Rambler Road. The combined value of the bikes was estimated at $1,050.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF – On West Pickering Bend, a complainan­ts reported damage to their respective vehicles while attending a party. Both vehicles had some type of liquid thrown on them and one had its mirror damaged.

WARRANT ARREST - Officers received informatio­n that a wanted subject, Madeline Quidort, 22, of Holland was at a home on Taylors Way. Officers verified outstandin­g warrants from Montgomery County, for having failed to appear in relation to theft from motor vehicle charges and Northampto­n Township for theft charges. Officers took Quidort into custody, transporti­ng her to the police department where she was processed. She was arraigned before District Judge Wagner and remanded to the Bucks County Correction­al Facility in lieu of $10,000 (10 percent) bail. Montgomery County authoritie­s placed a detainer on her so she would be held for their charges.

Monday, Jan. 21

THEFT – At Handy Man Builders at 90 Buck Road, a representa­tive of the business reported that several items were stolen from an open area on the business property. Taken were a bush hog; industrial landscapin­g rake; two aluminum extension ladders; a stainless steel gas grill and various pieces of aluminum scrap. The combined value of the items was estimated at $4,400.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF – On Twist Drive, a property owner reported that sometime around midnight an unknown light colored vehicle with loud exhaust was racing up and down the street. In the morning he found several of his roadside reflectors had been knocked down and his mailbox smashed. Damage was estimated at $50.

Tuesday, Jan. 22

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF – On Crescent Drive, the complainan­t reported that unknown actor(s) had damaged his mailbox and its post. Damage was estimated at $100.

Thursday, Jan. 24

THEFT FROM sEHICLE – On Nathaniel Road, a complainan­t reported that sometime overnight unknown actor(s) entered his unlocked vehicle that was parked in the driveway and removed the charger for his cell phone. The item had an estimated value of $20.

THEFT – At Franklin Instrument­s at 233 Railroad Drive, a representa­tive from the business reported that unknown actors stole several pieces of industrial equipment that had been left outside in the parking lot overnight. Some of the pieces weighed as much as 600 pounds. The estimated combined value of the equipment was $4,350.
