Yoga in Veterans Square a smash hit

LOWER MAKEFIELD – Yoga in the Park, a fundraiser for the Veterans Square Monument, has attracted well over 100 participan­ts last summer and so far this year.

“Practicing yoga outdoors in the fresh air brings a clear and joyful perspectiv­e to yoga,” she said. “You leave feeling refreshed and rejuvenate­d.”

June Miller is teaching all the classes.

“She always has something inspiratio­nal to say so that you leave her classes feeling good both physically and mentally,” Kraeck said. “She is well-known and well-loved in the area and has her own following.”

Her classes are appropriat­e for all levels.

“Last week, there were three generation­s from one family,” Kraeck noted. “There have been several young teens there with their mothers, and a number of men.”

The committee began Yoga in the Park last summer, but had no indoor location and a lot of rain outs. “This year, we are very fortunate to have an indoor venue,” Kraeck said.
