To the Editor:

America has been downsized Eweakened) in the last four years by a combination of those who think the country is too powerful and Eironically) by those who want power, mainly from academia and union politics. Idealists, pragmatic city politicians, led by a charismatic individual with more than presidential intentions, have united and succeeded in what, to some, amounts to a revolution without the assassinations.

How has this “take over” been accomplished in a coun- try that has freedom of expression and a free press? Could it be that the celebrity culture, along with media help, are hiding the issues by emphasizing less important ones? More than two-thirds of the country is not in favor of the Affordable Care Act, the nation was attacked on Sept. 11 ELibya-Egypt) with the ambassador brutally beaten and the response from D.C. is “bumps in the road,” high unemployment and enormous debt exist, Iraq has been given to Iran and the current occupant in the White House is leading in some polls? “Dancing with the Stars,” “Monday 1LJhW )RRWEDOO” DnyRnH?
