jary SaurmanI daughter of the late tilliam and jartha EwenI loving wifeI motherI grandmothe­r and greatgrand­motherI passed on peacefully at Fort tashington Estates about UW4R a.m. on SundayI Sept. PM. She is survived by her husbandI George; four married childrenI Nancy Ruane EJimFI Richard EJaneFI George t. ECarlaFI and Robert EPriscilla JaneF; eight grandchild­ren; four great-grandchild­ren; and a younger sisterI Nancy Leard.

jary was born in toodburyI N.J.I on Nov. NNI N92T. She graduated from Pemberton High School and later from rrsinus CollegeI Class of N949. It was at rrsinus that she met her husband to be. The two were married in N9RM and set up housekeepi­ng in PottstownI where jary immediatel­y became active in the communityI serving on the board of the vtCA and with Searles jethodist Church and the Parent Teachers Associatio­n. She was employed at the Insurance Co. North AmerLFD DQG wDV DOVR WKH RIfiFH manager of the Norristown Branch of Levengood Dairies.

In N9S2I the family moved to AmblerI where jary continued her service to the community. She was very active in Calvary rnited jethodist ChurchI where she taught a Sunday school classI and was a stalwart member of rnited jethodist tomen. She served as Republican committeew­oman for nearly three decades in Ambler’s Third tard and became a tradition at the polls on election days. She organized and operated a transporta­tion service for area cancer patients for over 2M yearsI for which she was honored by the American Cancer Society. jary also was an Avon representa­tive for more than PM yearsI winning many awards for her efforts.

jary will be remembered best for her compassion­ate and loving dispositio­nI which was characteri­zed by a contagious­I reassuring smileI and she will be greatly missed by her family and manyI many friends.

Funeral arrangemen­ts are being handled by Sheaf-jyers. A memorial service will be held at Calvary rnited jethodist ChurchI at NS E. Park AvenueI AmblerI PA N9MM2I with an opportunit­y to meet with the family beginning at NM a.m. on SaturdayI Oct. NPI followed by the service at NN a.m. Another memorial service will be held at Fort tashington EstatesI TPR Susquehann­a RoadI Fort tashington­I on tednesdayI Oct. NM at NMWPM a.m.
