Edythe Garrett

Edythe C. Garrett, 81, of Gwynedd, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2012, at Foulkeways at Gwynedd. Edythe is survived by her husband of 56 years, Daniel T. Garrett Sr.

Born Sept. 20, 1931, in Brooklyn, N.Y., Edythe was the daughter of the late Ralph and Cornelia (Buzby) Carter.

Edythe graduated from George School and Ursinus College. She was a lifelong nuaker and a member of Abington Friends Meeting, where she was a volunteer and secretary for eight years. Edythe also worked as a health insurance consultant and a travel agent. Her interests included reading, art, music and travel.

In addition to her husband, Edythe leaves behind her three children, Daniel T. Garrett Jr. and his wife, Marybeth, of Collegeville, Jennifer A. Garrett and her husEDQG, AQWKRQy 2UHfiFH, RI North Wales, and Patricia G. Jurgensen and her husband, Mark, of Harleysville; and seven grandchildren. Edythe was preceded in death by her parents and brother, the late Elmer “Rusty” Carter.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Edythe’s memorial service, 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012, at Gwynedd Friends Meeting, 1101 DeKalb Pike, North Wales, Pa.
