Pearl Braverman, 96, current resident of Scottsdale, Arizona since 1983, and former resident of Chicago, Illinois, died December 17, 2012 surrounded by her immediate family. She is survived by her two daughters, Marcia (Doniger) and Donna (Knopf); son-in-law Jay Doniger, grandchildren Scott Doniger and Michelle Long; and great-granddaughter Erica Long. Samuel Braverman, her husband of 72 years, preceded her in death on March 26, 2012. Pearl was born September 15, 1916 in Chicago, Illinois to Sadie and Harry Leen who both came to the United States from Europe. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Walter and Charlie. Pearl Braverman was as devoted and loving wife, wonderful mother, caring grandmother, and loving daughter and sister. She leaves a legacy of selflessness, empathy, love, resourcefulness, adventure and wisdom. She will be in our hearts, thoughts, and minds forever and always.
