Lois passed away at the age of 89 on Dec. 15, 2012 in Tempe, AZ. Lois June Hart was born on June 21, 1923, in Omaha, NE to Mary Oleen and Walter Doyle Hart. She spent her childhood in Omaha attending grade school at Monmouth Park and high school at North High. After high school, Lois attended VanSant School of Business. Lois met her husband, John Hall, during World War II and was married Oct. 25, 1943, in Sioux Falls, SD. She traveled around with John while he completed his Pilot and Officers training. They moved six times the first year from Utah, Texas, California, Montana, back to California and to Arizona. After the war they returned to Omaha. During the next 35 years, they lived in Nebraska, Oklahoma, Iowa and New Jersey where she worked as a real estate agent. They moved to Tempe, Arizona in 1981 when John retired from Chrysler Reality. Lois loved to play the piano, to read, and to tell jokes. She loved to play cards, especially Bridge. Lois also loved sports, especially golf and basketball. She made many friends over the years from her card and golf groups. Lois is preceded in death by her sister Betty Stone. Lois is survived by her husband of 69 years, John W., son John D. (wife Jean and children Michael and Julie), daughter Laurie (husband Wayne, child Lisa, and grandchild Julian), and son David as well as her sister Mary Jones. A Memorial Service will be held on January 5, 2013 at 1:00pm at Sun Valley Community Church, 6101 S. River Dr., Tempe. A reception will follow the memorial service.
