Diana Hill passed away December 21, 2012 under the care of Hospice of the Valley at Life Care Center of Glendale, after a complicate­d illness. Diana was born on June 30, 1927 as Diana Mary Bousard in Boston, MA. She was also known profession­ally as Diane Fortune, singer, with her own band. She moved with her family to Phoenix from Boston in 1947, because of her uncle’s illness; and has lived here ever since. Her husband William "Bill" Hill, passed away in 1993. Diana lived a full and active life in Phoenix, managing several businesses, including her own Diana’s Coffee Shop; and bringing her voice and music to many audiences, including the song "House of Cards" on Brunswick Records, composed by her brother. More recently, she was a top Sales Associate at Robinson-May and Macy’s Dept. Stores until her retirement. Diana is survived by her brother, Joe Bousard, who lives with his family in Anthem; a niece Shana Bousard Rebilas and her family; and her other niece Jennifer Bousard Baker and her family, who are visiting Phoenix from North Carolina. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Rosaline Bousard, and a vast network of friends and relatives who have known and helped Diana over the years. There will be a simple graveside service for the immediate family at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, where she will be buried with her husband. A celebratio­n of her life for friends and family will be held at a later date. Diana Hill will be missed.
