McCready in rehab; sons are in foster care

-

Country singer Mindy McCready’s personal battles continue.

The troubled star entered a treatment facility on judge’s orders. At an emergency hearing, McCready, 37, admitted to drinking too much alcohol in the wake of boyfriend David Wilson’s death by self-inflicted gunshot wound four weeks ago, E! News reports.

Her two sons — Zander, 6, and Zayne, 9 months — have been removed from her home and are in foster care. Zayne’s father was Wilson. Zander’s father is singer Billy McKnight.

E! reports that McCready’s father, Tim, filed the petition to have McCready enter rehab, saying she that “has been in bed. ... Sleeps all day. Drinks all night and is taking Rx drugs. Not bathing or even helping take care of her 2 children.”

McCready has had problems in the past, including attempting suicide, struggling with depression and addiction, and battling over custody of her children.

“The tragedy of David Wilson’s death has been devastating and crippling to Mindy and her entire family,” rep Kat Atwood wrote in a statement, confirming the treatment.

McCready could be in treatment for up to 21 days, E! reports. Mean- while, authorities in Cleburne County, Ark., are investigating the circumstances surrounding Wilson’s death.

Will Smith tells why daughter Willow dropped ‘Annie’ film

There had been a lot of buzz about Willow Smith taking the lead role in “Annie,” a film project to be produced by her dad, Will Smith.

Until last week, that is, when it was reported that she had dropped out of the show.

During a promotional appearance at Temple University last week, Smith explained what happened.

“In the past 18 months, I have spent a lot of time focusing on the emotional aspect of my life and my family,” he said per HipHopWired.com. “In 2010, in one year, our family had the ‘Karate Kid.’ We had ‘Whip My Hair.’ We had ‘Hawthorne.’ And at the end of the year, we did the Nobel Concert when Barack Obama won his Nobel Peace Prize.”

He went on to say that schedule has become just too hectic.

But although Deadline.com says Willow, now 12, had gotten too old for the part, her dad says the reason she dropped out was because she knew she needed time off.

“Willow was supposed to be doing ‘Annie,’ we got Jay-Z to do the movie, got the studio to come in and Willow had such a difficult time on tour with ‘Whip My Hair’ and she said, ‘You know Daddy, I don’t think so’ and I said, ‘Baby, hold up!’ I said, ‘No, no, no, listen, you’ll be in New York with all of your friends and Beyoncé will be there. You will be singing and dancing,’ and she looked at me and said, ‘Daddy, I have a better idea, how about I just be 12.’ ”
