Real-estate website Redfin is using the remake of “The Great Gatsby” to look at opulent houses for sale that offer a roaring 1920s “Gatsby-esque’’ vibe. Three houses in metro Phoenix made the list.

» The eight-bath, five-bedroom mansion at 6415 E. Exeter Blvd. in Scottsdale is on the market for $7.78 million. The 12,419-square-foot house looks like a French manor estate with an elevator, 10-car garage and 10 fireplaces. Ellie Shapiro of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage is listing the property.

» The Chateau de Vie mansion at 1220 N. Kyrene Road in Chandler is on the market for $9.99 million. The 13,600square-foot home has 12 bathrooms, eight bedrooms, a 22person theater and an English pub. Bob Hassett of Russ Lyon Sotheby’s International Realty is marketing the home.

» A completely furnished house at 10927 E. Windgate Pass Drive in Scottsdale is listed for $6.69 million. The house has 7,180 square feet of space, six bedrooms and six bathrooms. The house, with a baroque-style bar and living room, also has a custom wine room with humidor. Steven Sommer of Russ Lyon Sotheby’s has the listing.

At the end of March, there were 86,448 licensed realestate agents and firms across the state, according to the Arizona Department of Real Estate’s latest report. In 2012: » 3,935 sales-agent and broker licenses were issued.

» 28,794 real-estate license renewals were issued.

» 30 real-estate agents surrendered their licenses instead of going through a hearing for a disciplinary action.

Green trend

As many as 20 percent of the houses built across the country last year were built using green environmental standards, according to a report from McGraw Hill Construction. By 2016, the number of green-built homes is expected climb as high as 38 percent.
