Carefree sewer plant ordered closed, May 31, Scottsdale Republic, Page 3: The Arizona Corporatio­n Commission has ordered a sewer plant that serves Carefree to close. The headline mischaract­erized the entity that was told to close the plant.

“Vitriol was unwarrante­d,” May 24, Opinions, B6: The editorial said that Phoenix City Council candidate Lawrence Robinson described himself as a “teenage activist” involved in the struggle to pass a holiday in Arizona honoring the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. In fact, Robinson referred to his involvemen­t as a child, not as a teenager. He was not in his teens at the time.

“Plan Ahead: Bloomin’ Beerfest,” May 28, Things To Do, D1: Prices were incorrect. They are $27 in advance; $37 at the gate; $12 for teetotaler’s ticket; $1 for children younger than 12.

“Phoenix warned on pensions,” May 29, A1: The last name of John Teefy, a captain for the Phoenix Fire Department, was spelled incorrectl­y.
