Chicago Cubs: Chicago placed RHP Rafael Dolis on the disabled list because of a strained right forearm and brought up RHP Blake Parker from Triple-A Iowa on Saturday.

Dolis pitched five scoreless innings in five relief appearances in three stints with Chicago. Parker is 0-1 with seven saves and a 2.04 ERA in 16 relief appearances this season with Iowa. Seattle: C Jesus Montero has a torn meniscus in his left knee and will be out for four to six weeks following surgery. The 23-year-old, acquired in a trade with the New York Yankees prior to the 2012 season, was optioned to Triple-A Tacoma on May 22. Montero hit only .208 with three home runs and nine RBIs in 101 at-bats over 29 games. The Mariners, though, were 15-10 in games when Montero started behind the plate. Washington: Manager Davey Johnson says an MRI showed a slight strain in Stephen Strasburg’s right side, and the team is hoping the right-hander can avoid the disabled list. Strasburg left Friday night’s game against the Braves after two innings. Strasburg was examined in Washington on Saturday.

Johnson says there is no need to rush a decision on Strasburg’s status for his next start on Thursday. The Nationals have an off day on Monday, and Johnson said Saturday Strasburg’s next start could be pushed back if necessary.

Strasburg’s start in the Nationals’ 3-2 win Friday night was the shortest of his career. He grimaced after throwing a change-up to Brian McCann with one out in the second but completed the inning. LA Dodgers: OF Carl Crawford has left Saturday’s game against the Colorado Rockies because of a left-hamstring injury. Crawford was injured legging out a double in the third inning. A trainer came out to second base and immediately escorted Crawford to the dugout. The Dodgers later described the injury as a cramp in the hamstring.
