Call 12 to host HOA help line
Here at Call 12 for Action, we do more than solve people’s problems with businesses and get money back for our audience. We also do our best to educate with the help of some great resources in the community.
This month, we are hosting two real-estate-related events with expert advisers available to provide free guidance. » Homeowners-association issues tend to be complicated and are the source of many questions. Do you have an HOA issue? On Tuesday, Call 12 for Action will sponsor an HOA help line staffed by volunteers from the central Arizona chapter of the Community Associations Institute. CAI provides information and education to community associations and the professionals who support them.
Volunteers can take calls on anything HOA-related. The phone bank will be open from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday. If you’re interested in getting some answers, the number to call is 602-258-1212. Or go to the 12 News Facebook page and ask your question there; a volunteer will provide a response.
This is a unique opportunity. Typically, Call 12 for Action does not tackle HOA complaints because lawyers are often involved in these cases, and we don’t take on cases where legal representation is present.
» Issues involving tenants and landlords also are important to Call 12 for Action.
On June 11, attorneys with the State Bar of Arizona will volunteer their time to answer questions over the phone on any tenant or landlord issue for free.
The Lawyers on Call phone bank will be open from 5 to 7 p.m. June 11, also at 602-258-1212. Questions also will be taken on the 12 News Facebook page. CALL 12 FOR ACTION
