Shakira to breast-feed son ‘until college’

- PEOPLE TODAY’S BIRTHDAYS

Like many new moms, Shakira is touting the pregnancy-pound-busting benefits of breast-feeding.

“I’m not back all the way to my old self, but I look decent now, I think,” says the singer and “Voice” judge. “What has helped me a lot was breastfeeding, and I’m so hooked, I’m telling you, I think I’m going to keep breastfeeding this baby until he goes to college because I can’t stop, “Shakira joked.

Of her son, Milan, born Jan. 22, “his dad chose the name,” she says of Spanish football player Gerard Piqué. “And I already chose the name of the baby girl, but I won’t say.”

It’s anyone’s guess when that will happen, but now we know Shakira is planning to add to her brood.

Philip Seymour Hoffman does detox for heroin abuse

Philip Seymour Hoffman finished a 10-day stint in rehab for a drug problem that included snorting heroin.

TMZ says the actor, 45, struggled with substance abuse in the past, but had been clean for 23 years. More than a year ago, Hoffman, who won an Oscar in 2006 for “Capote,” fell off the wagon.

He tells TMZ it started slowly, with prescription pills. But it grew until Hoffman was snorting heroin. After a week or so of that, says the site, Hoffman checked himself into a detox facil- ity on the East Coast. He checked out after 10 days.

The only quote in the story comes from Hoffman crediting “a great group of friends and family” for helping him seek the treatment he needed to get better.

The actor, who has three children — Cooper, 10; Tallulah 6, and Willa, 4— with costume designer Mimi O’Donnell, will next be seen in November’s “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.”

Carrie Fisher vows to learn from Catherine Zeta-Jones

Carrie Fisher was hospitalized in February after a bipolar episode onboard a cruise ship.

“My medication had a little problem with itself,” Fisher, 56, tells “Extra’s” Mario Lopez, recounting the incident in which she was slurring words and her dog was using the stage as a bathroom.

“I happened to be on stage with one of my dogs. It was a very eccentric moment, but you have problems with medication and you can have … a balance issue. I went out of balance in public.”

When Lopez brought up Catherine Zeta-Jones, Fisher applauded Michael Douglas’ wife for taking preventive measures in treating bipolar disorder by checking into a treatment facility. “I’ve got to learn from her. I love that she went in preventively, so that’s going to be what I do from now on.”

As for rumors about returning to the big screen with Harrison Ford and Mark Hamill in the upcoming J.J. Abrams- directed “Star Wars” sequel, Fisher said she cannot confirm they are true. She added, “You never know, though.”
