Lady Gaga gets graphic about her hip surgery

- WWD,

Lady Gaga has been quiet for months. Now it looks like we’ll be hearing from her every day until her single “Applause” arrives Aug. 19. And maybe until “ARTPOP,” her new album, drops Nov. 11.

In an interview with she discusses the hip surgery that waylaid her and put her out of the public eye, starting in February.

“My injury was actually a lot worse than just a labral tear,” says Gaga, 27.

“I had broken my hip. Nobody knew, and I haven’t even told the fans yet. But when we got all the MRIs finished before I went to surgery there were giant craters, a hole in my hip the size of a quarter, and the cartilage was just hanging out the other side of my hip.”

She continues, “I had a tear on the inside of my joint and a huge breakage. The surgeon told me that if I had done an- other show I might have needed a full hip replacement. I would have been out at least a year, maybe longer.”

Aniston to have surgery

Jennifer Aniston is painfully honest about how much work it took to shoot her stripper scene in “We’re the Millers.”

“It wasn’t easy because I’d just had knee surgery a month and a half before. It was a little bit tedious. And then also just getting trained physically — I was really in shape then. I was in the kind of shape I don’t enjoy being in because it feels a little too fit,” Aniston says.

Now, the actress has to deal with her joint again.

“I’m trying really hard to rehabilitate my knee. I have to have (the surgery) done again in about a month. I have a hole in a tendon that’s leaking fluid. Is that pleasant? It hurts. It feels creepy,” she says.
