Reed’s body was found by his roommate about 7:15 a.m. in a hallway of the apartment building in Ypsilanti, about 35 miles southwest of Detroit.

The 5-foot-10-inch, 161-pound receiver played in six games this season, catching 15 passes for 181 yards and a touchdown. Alabama: The NCAA cleared Alabama safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix to return for today’s Arkansas game.

The NCAA reinstated Clinton-Dix on Friday after he served a two-game suspension, according to a statement released by Alabama. The Crimson Tide star was suspended indefinite­ly for accepting a shortterm loan of less than $500 from assistant strength and conditioni­ng coach Corey Harris, possibly violating NCAA rules about student-athletes receiving extra benefits.

Harris was placed on administra­tive leave.
