MARICOPA — The U.S. Bureau of Land Management has rescheduled two public hearings on a proposed solar project near Maricopa.

The agency says its employees weren’t able to prepare for the meetings scheduled for this month because of the partial government shutdown.

The meetings on the Maricopa Solar Park Project now will be held Nov. 12 in Goodyear and Nov. 13 in Maricopa.

Marisol Energy 2 LLC has proposed building a 205-megawatt plant on BLM land about 8 miles west of Maricopa.
