“The Voice” is a realitytelevision show that has singers perform for musical artists Christina Aguilera, CeeLo Green, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton. Each of the celebrities chose 12 singers during “blind” auditions during which they could not see the person singing before choosing the singer for his or her team.

Pop stars Aguilera and Green turned around as they heard Quinn sing, indicating they wanted her on their teams. Quinn chose Team Christina.

Quinn is a singer-songwriter who prefers country music but chose the pop diva as her coach when Shelton, a country singer, did not turn his chair around for her during the blind auditions.

At this stage of the show, contestants face each other in battle rounds where two singers from the same team perform a duet.

The celebrity coach for each team must choose which of the two singers he or she wants to keep. Another coach can “steal” the singer who does not win the battle.

The 32 contestants who survive the battle rounds go into the knockout rounds, where the judges will whittle the roster to 16 artists. What’s coming next

Quinn will visit her old haunt, the Hideaway, at 6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 20, for the bar’s Cave Creek Biketoberfest celebration. It will be her first Valley performance since the show aired.

There already have been more requests coming in for her to perform in her home state, but she said she couldn’t discuss her schedule just yet.

For now, she is spending time writing songs. She also took a trip to Nashville, although she could not say if it was related to the show.

Quinn said she plans to pursue her singing dreams no matter what happens on “The Voice.”

“I feel so honored to get to be a part of a show like this,” she said. “But this is one step for me and my career.”
