At Penguins 4, Canucks 3

(SO): Evgeni Malkin scored in the third round of the shootout, MarcAndre Fleury made the big stop on Ryan Kesler, and Pittsburgh remained unbeaten at home with a victory against Vancouver on Saturday.

Sidney Crosby moved into a tie atop the NHL leaderboar­d with his seventh goal of the season, and had two assists. Chris Kunitz netted his fourth goal and added two assists, and rookie defenseman Olli Maatta scored his first NHL goal for the Penguins, who won for the 20th time in 22 home games.

Oilers 3, At Senators 1: Ryan Nugent-Hopkins scored two goals, including one into an empty net, to help Edmonton beat Ottawa and snap a five-game losing streak.

Jordan Eberle added a goal, and Devan Dubnyk made 35 saves for the Oilers.

At Devils 4, Rangers 0: Cory Schneider made 22 saves for his first shutout with New Jersey, and the Devils became the last NHL team to win a game this season.

Andrei Loktionov, Adam Henrique, Michael Ryder and Dainius Zubrus scored for the Devils.

Hurricanes 4, at Islanders 3: Jiri Tlusty scored his first two goals of the season, and Cam Ward made 22 saves as Carolina held on for a win.

Tlusty netted his first goal 1:05 into the second, jamming a loose puck past Evgeni Nabokov. Jordan Staal added his first with a wrist shot from the left circle at 6:36, and Jeff Skinner made it 3-0 at 13:37 with his third. He leads the Hurricanes with nine points.

Bruins 5, at Lightning 0: Tuukka Rask stopped 23 shots and five Boston players scored against Tampa Bay.

Rask made a nifty glove save on Steven Stamkos’ point-blank redirectio­n in the third period. It was the goalie’s first shutout this season and 17th in the NHL.

At Capitals 4, Blue Jackets 1: Braden Holtby made 37 saves, and Martin Erat assisted on three Washington goals in a win over Columbus. Joel Ward and Brooks Laich scored in the second period for the Capitals, and Troy Brouwer and Alex Ovechkin gave Washington a cushion early in the third.

At Blackhawks 3, Maple Leafs 1: Bryan Bickell sparked Chicago’s big second period with his first goal of the season, helping the Blackhawks beat Toronto.

Brandon Pirri added a goal and an assist for the Blackhawks, who have won four of five.

Predators 2, at Canadiens 1: Seth Jones’ goal with 1:27 left spoiled a 35-save performanc­e by Montreal’s Carey Price and helped Nashville to a win.

Shea Weber also scored for the Predators, who got 28 saves from Pekka Rinne. Brendan Gallagher scored the only goal for Montreal.

At Panthers 2, Wild 1 (SO): Brad Boyes and Jonathan Huber- deau scored in a shootout, lifting Florida over Minnesota and snapping a three-game losing streak.

Boyes’ backhander went through the legs of goalie Josh Harding for the winner.

Avalanche 4, at Sabres 2: Matt Duchene, Gabriel Landeskog and Ryan O’Reilly each had a goal and an assist to lead Colorado past Buffalo.

Paul Statsny also scored, and Jean-Sebastien Giguere made 28 saves for the Avalanche.

At Sharks 6, Flames 3: Joe Pavelski scored two power-play goals, helping to keep San Jose unbeaten at home with a victory over Calgary.

Antti Niemi stopped 16 of 19 shots to record his 11th career won over the Flames, his most against any team.

At Kings 5, Stars 2: Drew Doughty scored the tiebreakin­g goal early in the third period, and Justin Williams had two goals and an assist in Los Angeles’s victory over Dallas

Kyle Clifford added a thirdperio­d goal, and Matt Greene scored a deflected empty-net goal from deep in the Kings’ end with 29 seconds to play. Anze Kopitar had three assists in the Kings’ return to Staples Center after going 3-1-0 on a four-game trip.
