Suisham’s FG carries Steelers over Ravens

PITTSBURGH — Shaun Suisham remains perfect. Now, his imperfect team is showing signs of pulling out of its massive early season hole.

He drilled a 42-yard field goal with no time remaining to lift the Pittsburgh Steelers to a 19-16 victory over the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday.

Suisham’s fourth field goal of the day (he’s 14 for 14 this season) pushed the Steelers (2-4) to their second straight win after an 0-4 start.

Ben Roethlisbe­rger completed 17 of 23 passes for 160 yards and a touchdown. He hit Antonio Brown for a pair of big gains on Pittsburgh’s final drive, putting Suisham well within range to win it. Running back Le’Veon Bell ran for a season-high 93 yards on 19 carries.

Joe Flacco passed for 215 yards and a touchdown but couldn’t stop the defending Super Bowl champions from losing for the third time in their last four games.

The Ravens trailed all day but finally ran the Steelers down when Flacco guided a 16play, 73-yard drive that ended when the quarterbac­k hit Clark in the back of the end zone to tie the game at 16 with 1:58 to go.

The Steelers nearly went back in front when Emmanuel Sanders picked up the ensuing kickoff in the back of the end zone and raced down the right sideline to the end zone. But officials ruled he stepped out at the Pittsburgh 37. Chiefs 17, Texans 16:

— Jamaal Charles ran for 86 yards and a touchdown, Alex Smith also ran for a score and Kansas City (7-0) beat banged-up Houston (2-4) to remain unbeaten. Case Keenum, making his first NFL start in place of the injured Matt Schaub, threw for 271 yards and a touchdown for the Texans. Cowboys 17, Eagles 3:

— Tony Romo threw for 317 yards and one touchdown and Dallas (4-3) overcame a sluggish start to take sole possession of first place in the NFC East by beating Philadelph­ia (3-4). Two teams that averaged a combined 58 points per game and allowed a combined 55 totaled 13 punts in the first half. Bengals 27, Lions 24:

— Mike Nugent’s 54yard field goal as time expired lifted Cincinnati (5-2) over Detroit (4-3). The AFC Northleadi­ng Bengals won a game for the second straight week by the same score thanks to Nugent’s right foot. He made an overtime kick to give Cincinnati a win after it blew a 14point, fourth-quarter lead at Buffalo. 49ers 31, Titans 17:

— Colin Kaepernick threw for199 yards and ran for 68 and a touchdown, helping San Francisco (5-2) start its longest road trip this season by beating Tennessee (3-4). Bills 23, Dolphins 21:

— Mario Williams forced a fumble when he sacked Ryan Tannehill with less than three minutes left, setting up the winning field goal to help Buffalo (3-4) beat Miami (3-3). Panthers 30, Rams 15:

Cam Newton completed 15 of 17 passes for 204 yards and a touchdown and Carolina (3-3) defeated St. Louis (3-4) in a heated game. The Rams lost their cool with several personal-foul penalties — and then lost quarterbac­k Sam Bradford for the year to a torn ACL in the fourth quarter. Chargers 24, Jaguars 6:

— Philip Rivers threw for 285 yards and a touchdown, Ryan Mathews ran for 110 yards and a score, and surging San Diego (4-3) dominated Jacksonvil­le (0-7). Redskins 45, Bears 41:

— Roy Helu scored his third touchdown of the game with 45 seconds to play, a 3-yard run that gave Washington (2-4) a needed win over Chicago (4-3). Falcons 31, Buccaneers 23:

Matt Ryan threw for 273 yards and three touchdowns, including two to Jacquizz Rodgers, and Atlanta (2-4) held off Tampa Bay (0-6) to end its three-game losing streak. Packers 31, Browns 13:
