Police: Man and woman linked to prostitution

-

PHOENIX — Police have arrested a man and woman after working for more than a year to bust a suspected prostitution operation.

Cory “Daddy” Fisher, 37, and Tamara Williams, 39, told two women on adult dating websites in May and June of 2012 to meet Fisher at a Homestead Suites on Dunlap Avenue in Phoenix, according to Maricopa County Superior Court documents.

He coerced them into working for him as escorts when he learned both women were having financial and emotional difficulties, according to the documents. The women met with Fisher separately.

On June 22, 2012, Fisher trained the two women, paid for their hotel rooms, provided security and condoms, and created escort ads on Backpage.com, according to the documents. Williams used her laptop to help Fisher create the ads and saved photos of the women she took for the ads onto her computer.

That same day, Phoenix police officers met a woman who identified herself as Williams at the hotel. She told officers she was an escort and that she was staying with Fisher. She also said she had other female friends in other hotel rooms, according to police. Williams gave police permission to search her laptop. Officers say that they found pictures of the victims on the laptop and of Williams, according to the documents.

Fisher and Williams were both arrested Tuesday on suspicion of pandering and operating houses of prostitution.
