CARDINALS ON OFFENSE

-

They will have to deal with more complicated defensive schemes than they have for a few weeks. Eagles coordinator Bill Davis, who coached in Arizona under Ken Whisenhunt, runs a 3-4, and he will try to bring pressure from varying areas. That puts the onus on the Cardinals’ offensive line and running backs to have good communication and to keep Carson Palmer upright. A competent running game will help, but running back Andre Ellington’s questionable status (knee) is a huge concern. If he can’t play, Rashard Mendenhall carries a bigger load, and rookie Stepfan Taylor will need to step up. Could we see Ryan Williams play for the first time this year? Don’t count on it. Edge: Eagles.
