GALLERY GLIMPSE
Throughout time, mankind has searched for and revered gold, the precious metal symbolizing wealth and power. From the flashy gold artifacts found in Egyptian pharaoh’s tombs to gold medals serving as top prizes at the Olympic Games, gold is king.
At Phoenix’s Bentley Gallery, gold is front and center in the newest exhibition, “Gold Rush.” Twelve artists use gold in some way, such as Martin Cary Horowitz’s 23 carat red gold on a glass piece and gold leaf superimposed onto an American-flag panel from Andrew Schoultz.
