Manning, Decker in sync as Broncos top Chiefs, take AFC West control

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Kansas City Chiefs had no answer for Peyton Manning and Eric Decker. In two tries this season, they haven’t had an answer for the Denver Broncos, either.

Manning threw for 403 yards and five touchdowns, four of them to Decker, and the Broncos held off a furious rally to beat the Chiefs 35-28 on Sunday and seize control of the AFC West.

Decker had eight catches for a career-high 174 yards for the Broncos (10-2), who moved a game clear of the Chiefs (9-3) in the division. Giants 24, Redskins 17:

— Eli Manning completed 22 of 28 passes for 235 yards, and Justin Tuck had four sacks to help shut down Robert Griffin III in the second half, leading New York (5-7) over Washington (3-9).

Griffin was 16 for 17 at halftime, but he went 8 for 15 in the second half. Vikings 23, Bears 20 (OT):

Adrian Peterson rushed for 211 yards and Blair Walsh kicked a 34-yard field goal in overtime to lift Minnesota (3-8-1) to a wild win over Chicago (6-6).

Patriots 34, Texans 31: Tom Brady threw for 371 yards and two scores, and Stephen Gostkowski made two long field goals in the fourth quarter as New England (9-3) rallied past Houston (2-10). Dolphins 23, Jets 3:

Ryan Tannehill threw for 331 yards and two touchdowns, leading Miami (6-6) over listless New York (5-7). Panthers 27, Buccaneers 6:

Cam Newton threw for 263 yards and two touchdowns and ran for another score, and Carolina (9-3) defeated Tampa Bay (3-9) for a franchise-rec- ord eighth straight regular-season win.

Colts 22, Titans14: Adam Vinatieri tied a career high with five field goals and Donald Brown scored on a 4-yard touchdown run with 1:56 left, giving Indianapol­is (8-4) a victory over Tennessee (5-7).

Jaguars 32, Browns 28: — Cecil Shorts caught a 20-yard touchdown pass from Chad Henne with 40 seconds left, rallying Jacksonvil­le (3-9) over Cleveland (4-8).

Bengals 17, Chargers 10: — Andy Dalton threw a go-ahead 21yard touchdown pass to wide-open A.J.
