born on March 25, 1929 in Rugby, ND to Pius (Paul) and Josephine has entered into rest on February 12, 2014. She moved to Great Falls, MT as a young girl, and graduated from St. Mary’s Catholic High School in 1947. After graduation, she worked for various business, and government­al agencies including the Bureau of Reclamatio­n, The Bureau of Indian Affairs, Calument Montana Refinery, and The Great Falls Tribune. She married Melvin James (Jim) Bierwagen on February 17, 1957 in Great Falls, and they later moved with their 3 children to Mesa, AZ in 1969. Anna Marie worked for Mesa Public Schools, Century Bank, and later owned and operated Century Laundry in Mesa, AZ with her husband Jim. Upon retiring, Anna Marie and Jim traveled the United States in their RV, and also owned a summer residence in Payson, AZ for 10 years. She is survived by a daughter Linda Bierwagen, 2 sons, Jerome (Catherine) Bierwagen, and Allen (Patricia) Bierwagen. She is survived by 7 grandchild­ren, Michael, Josephine, Christophe­r, John, and Elizabeth (Jerome and Catherine), and Amy, and Robert (Allen, and Patricia). She is also survived by one sister Genevieve Lippert as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Jim; her parents, Pius, and Josephine, and brother-in-law John Lippert. A lifelong Catholic, services will be held at All Saints Catholic Church at 1534 N. Recker Road in Mesa, AZ 85205 on February 28, 2014 at 11:30am. Visitation will be held on February 27, 2014 from 4pm to 7pm, Rosary at 6:30pm, at Sonoran Skies Mortuary, 5659 E. Main St. Mesa, AZ 85205.
