87, of Phoenix passed away peacefully on February 19, 2014. Born May 4, 1926 to Claude and Maude Lane he was the youngest of three surviving children. Ray served in Navy in World War II. He moved to Phoenix in 1958. He was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years Jeanne. The Lane family blessed him with six children Lynn McKee (Jim), Debbie Fisher (Paul), Pamela Goodin (Gene), Raymond D Lane (Joyce), Jeanne May (Dick), Harrison (Della), 25 grandchild­ren, 25 great grand children and three great great grandchild­ren. Also preceded in death by Carolyn Olivier Lane. The Olivier family brought into his life five children David Olivier (Tae), Dee Dee Ellison, Paula Williams (Tim), Chrissy Deubler (Mike), Philip Olivier (Rochelle), 15 grandchild­ren and four great grandchild­ren. Ray is also survived by his three nieces Sandra Hausman, Linda Lane Soteropoul­os, Bonne Rock and nephew Jerry Lane Jr. Ray retired from Sperry Flight Systems. Raymond was a 40+ year member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. Over the years, he was a member of Prescott #3600 and Sunnyslope #2957 where he served as President of each Aerie, Benson #3593 and Osborn #2843, where he was a member upon his death. He also served the Arizona State Aerie as State President and was State Secretary for 10 years. Celebratio­n of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday March 1, 2014 at First Southern Baptist Church @ Sahuaro Ranch, 10250 N 59 Ave, Glendale 85302. An Eagles memorial service will be performed at 2:00 p.m. on March 1, 2014 at Osborn #2843, 7575 N 67 Ave, Glendale 85301. Cremation by Best Funeral Services. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Raymond’s name to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E Flower St, Phoenix, AZ 85014.
