School: Mesa Mountain View. Season recap: Mountain View didn’t enter the season as the favorite in Division I, but it quickly established itself as such with its early performances, including a fourth-place finish at the Reno Tournament of Champions — the highest of any Arizona school. Mountain View qualified wrestlers in 13 of the 14 weight classes at state, producing five finalists and two individual champions in winning the Division I title by 55 points — its first championship since 2000. Callison’s comment: “I definitely pinched myself for a few days (after winning the state title). It was something that we were shooting for a long time, and then all of a sudden it’s like, ‘Man, we did it.’ It was surreal. It really takes a lot for everything to come together. It takes such a team effort – it’s our parents, our administration, our school, the community itself. In order to win things like that, it really takes a conscious effort from all those parties. It’s an honor.
