Calm down. Your dog is not the spawn of Satan

-

Ihave here a photo some guy sent me of a dog with creepy looking glowing eyes. He wants to know why. It is possible the dog is the spawn of Satan, but that doesn’t seem very likely. Dogs and cats and most other creatures of the night have a layer of cells in or behind their retinas. These cells are called tapetum lucidum, and their job is to act like a mir- ror and help the animal see better in the dark. That creepy glow — “eye shine” — shows up when light, such as a bright flash, reflects off those cells and bounces back to the camera.

In humans the flash bounces of blood vessels in the eye so you get that red eye look.

You can avoid this by not using a flash if possible, shoot at an angle or use a flash not directly above the camera.

If Hillary Clinton is elected president could Bill, having already served two terms, be her vice president?

Since that sort of thing has never happened in the U.S. before there are quite a few opinions about it.

The 22nd Amendment to the Constitution says no one can be elected to the presidency more than twice. However, it does not rule out such a person later becoming president by other means, such as succession.

And the12th Amendment says no person constitutionally ineligible to the office of President shall be eligible to that of Vice-President of the United States.

Some legal experts say that means he couldn’t succeed to the presidency and some say it wouldn’t be a problem.

I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
