The Goodyear highschool teacher accused of luring a student initially denied any relationship with the 17-year-old girl but relented after he was presented with two dozen e-mails detailing their relationship, according to court documents.

The principal of Millennium High School, Tamee Gressett, received a report Saturday that a teacher was possibly involved in an inappropri- ate relationship with a student, court records said.

A 17-year-old student posted on a blog that she had kissed her teacher whom she referred to as “J,” three times on campus, officials said.

Gressett reported that the student had a teacher by the name of Jared Blackstone, 31, police said.

Gressett met with Blackstone and asked him if he was involved in a relationship with a student and he initially said no, officials said.

The girl’s parents met with Gressett shortly after and provided the principal with a number of emails, according to court records.

Blackstone again denied any involvement with the student when he met with Gressett a second time but when she started reading the emails aloud to the English teacher, he admitted that he had kissed the girl, police said.

The e-mails included in the court document contain explicit exchanges between Blackstone and the student. The girl told police she had kissed Blackstone on four occasions, the most recent of which was on Monday.

Blackstone e-mailed the girl for the last time that day to let her know that “someone reported us to administration,” according to court records.

Blackstone was released on his own recognizance, according to court records, and was subject to electronic monitoring.
