Here’s what you need to know if you’re going to the Cactus Bowl.

Downtown Phoenix will ramp up after the holiday weekend as it prepares to host the Baylor University Bears and the Boise State University Broncos in the Motel 6 Cactus Bowl.

If you’re headed to Chase Field for the game, a full game-day guide can be found at CactusBowl.com. Here’s the most important informatio­n you need to enjoy the game:

Where:

Chase Field, 401 E. Jefferson St., Phoenix.

When:

Dec. 27. Gates open at 6:15 p.m. Kickoff is at 8:15 p.m.

Getting there:

Parking: Fans planning to drive and park at Chase Field are encouraged to buy parking passes in advance for $20 at CactusBowl.com or by calling 480-350-0911. Parking passes will be available at parking-garage entrances on game day, cash only.

Accessible parking: Individual­s with a disability license plate or placard may park in the parking garage south of Chase Field on Fourth Street. A parking pass is still required, and only 31 spots are reserved for disability parking. Parking is first-come, first-served.

Drop-off: Using Lyft, Uber or a helpful friend to get to the game? The designated drop-off point is on the south side of Jefferson Street, just west of Seventh Street.

Valley Metro Light Rail: The light rail stops in front of Chase Field at Third and Jefferson streets (eastbound) or Third and Washington streets (westbound). A one-way

ticket costs $2, and an all-day pass is $4. A list of park-and-ride locations can be found at ValleyMetr­o.org.

Bicycle parking: Bicycles are not permitted inside Chase Field. Bikes may be locked at the following locations: inside the Chase Field garage, inside the Jefferson Street Garage, on the plaza near Game Seven Grill, outside Friday’s Front Row lobby doors or across from Gate K.

Tailgating:

Tailgating is not allowed on lots owned and operated by the Cactus Bowl. Tailgating on surroundin­g, privately owned lots is allowed at the owner’s discretion.

The Cactus-Bowl sponsored pregame party begins at 4:30 p.m. south of the Chase Field parking garage, between Buchanan and Lincoln streets. The event features live music, marching bands and pep rallies for both teams. Admission is $25, includes a plated meal and can be purchased at CactusBowl.com. Alcohol will be available for purchase.

Need to know:

Alcohol: Fans cannot bring alcohol into Chase Field. Guests with a valid ID can purchase alcohol inside the ballpark until the end of the third quarter. Re-entry: Fans may not re-enter the building if they leave, except to access designated smoking areas.

Prohibited items: Typical prohibited items — such as firearms, knifes and fireworks — are not allowed in Chase Field. All bags are subject to search upon entry. Here are other prohibitio­ns:

» Bags that exceed 11 inches by 11 inches by 15 inches.

» External food or beverages (excluding sealed water bottles, sealed single-serving juice boxes and baby food).

» Signs that exceed 3 feet by 2 feet (or any sign with offensive language). » Brooms, poles or sticks. » Cameras with profession­al photo lenses larger than 8 inches. » Tripods. » Selfie sticks. » Footballs or beach balls. » Laptop computers (tablets permitted). » Laser pointers. » Umbrellas larger than 12 inches long. » Strollers must be checked at the Guest Services Center.
