He leaves his wife, Penelope, his two daughters Valerie and Ann, two sons-in-law, three grandchild­ren, two brothers, two sisters, and many close friends. Born in Dayton, Ohio, and growing up in Prescott Arizona, Don was an active community member, playing football and basketball for Prescott High School. He was captain of the Prescott High School Football Team, President of the Senior Class, and Mr. Hassayampa for the Prescott High School Year Book. Don graduated from University of Arizona with a Juris Doctor degree and was a Staff Attorney for the Arizona State Legislatur­e for over 30 years. He was an avid racquetbal­l player, placed first in the Arizona State championsh­ip competitio­n, and ran marathons throughout Arizona. Don was also an accomplish­ed musician. He and Don Senneville created the band "Los Dos Dons" and played weekend gigs in Cave Creek, Arizona and surroundin­g areas for over 20 years. Don will be remembered with love by his family at a private ceremony in their home. Carole is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 62 years, Robert, sons Guy and Tom and daughter Joy Russell, grandchild­ren Michelle, Brian, Ashley, Eric, Ryan and nine great grandchild­ren. Brother Richard Donofrio, cousins and wonderful friends. A private service will be held at a later date. Evans-Brown Sun City Mortuary Mike Wizner, born June 15, 1951 in Midland, MI to Frank and Ellen (Pettis) Wizner, passed away peacefully February 20, 2017. Mike spent most of his work years in profession­al bakeries before becoming a business agent for BCTGM Local 232 for the last 8 years. He was one of the original Trekkies; exploring the final frontier. Mike is survived by his mother Ellen (Wizner) Strip; wife Barbara; children Helen (Cordell) Brown, James (Josie) Wizner, Rebecca (Michael Strautz) Wizner; 3 grandchild­ren; brother Robert (Chris) Wizner; sister Barbara (Andrew) Eagleton; 2 nieces; 1 nephew and uncle Warren Pettis. His father and stepfather Loren Stripe precede him in death.A visitation will be Monday February 27 from 5:00-8:00 pm with a funeral service Tuesday February 28 at 10:00 am both at Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary 7924 N. 59th Ave in Glendale.
