The right uses dark money to thwart the will of voters
Robert Robb wrote a column on Easter Sunday that is a betrayal of Arizona taxpayers. Arizona is last in the United States in education funding.
It’s in the last couple of states in education achievement.
Is this even close to acceptable to Mr. Robb and the citizens of Arizona?
His column gives Gov. Doug Ducey a pass with a line of reasoning that says tax cuts are OK because they were a campaign promise.
Vouchers are OK because they just increased by a “modest” amount.
Education is the most important responsibility to the citizens of any state. Making the wealthy more wealthy with tax cuts every year, and giving money to wealthy parents to decrease their tuition payments for their children’s private schools is irresponsible.
When will Arizona’s legislators wake up and do what they are supposed to do, the business of the people.
Robb should have called Ducey out for what he is — a bought and paid for governor by special interest groups and dark money. — Carter Ebann, Peoria
