UFC champ Jones flagged for another failed doping test

LAS VEGAS - Light heavyweigh­t champion Jon Jones has been notified of another potential violation of the UFC’s anti-doping policy.

The UFC announced the potential violation Tuesday night for Jones, widely considered the top pound-forpound fighter in mixed martial arts.

Jones’ potential violation stems from a sample collected after his weigh-in July 28 for his title fight against Daniel Cormier at UFC 214 in Anaheim.

Dodgers put LHP Wood, INF/OF Bellinger on DL

PITTSBURGH - The Los Angeles Dodgers have put starting pitcher Alex Wood moves before playing at Pittsburgh on Tuesday night and recalled right-handed pitchers Josh Ravin and Brock Stewart from Triple-A Oklahoma City. The Dodgers have the best record in the majors.

Wood was put on the DL for the second time this season because of inflammati­on in the area of his left shoulder. Manager Dave Roberts gave no specific timeframe for the lefty’s return.

The Army-Navy football game will be played in Philadelph­ia four times from 2018-2022, returning to its most frequent host city.

The academies held a news conference Tuesday at Philadelph­ia’s City Hall to announce the site of the 2018, ‘19, ‘20 and ‘22 ArmyNavy games. The Cadets and Midshipmen will play at Lincoln Financial Field.
