Mothers sing anthem, throw out first pitch at baseball game as players sport pink caps, socks
There was no shortage of Mother’s Day festivities at Sunday’s Diamondbacks game at Chase Field in downtown Phoenix.❚ A mom kickstarted the afternoon by singing the national anthem before another mom threw the opening pitch. Players joined in on the fun, wearing pink ballcaps and socks during the game. The team also honored a breast-cancer survivor during pre-game ceremonies and held a fundraiser for Phoenix Children’s Hospital after the game.
