Liberals take to false ad attacks on McSally

In recent days, a liberal special-interest group involving Democrat Kyrsten Sinema’s former campaign consultant has spent almost a million dollars on false television ads attacking Congresswoman Martha McSally.

The out-of-state liberal donors funding these advertisements are attacking Martha’s record because they know McSally is the only conservative that can win this Senate seat. Ironically, Martha McSally is the only candidate in this race who has a proven record of lowering health costs for seniors and cutting our taxes.

McSally has been fighting to protect health care for seniors and to reduce the enormous financial risks “Obamacare” has imposed on them. McSally led the effort to help seniors and families struggling with steep medical bills by shepherding the Halt Tax Increases on the Middle Class and Seniors Act through the House of Representatives. This bill stops Obamacare’s damage to the medical expense deduction in the tax code.

As a testament to McSally’s tireless advocacy, this bill passed the House with a strong bipartisan majority. Ultimately, this Obamacare tax hike was halted for two years as part of the recently enacted tax cut bill. So, contrary to the deceitful ad, McSally has actually worked hard for seniors’ health care.

McSally also led the fight to secure more funding for health services and tax credits. As Congress worked to repeal and replace Obamacare, McSally helped secure an additional $90 billion specifically to help Americans aged 5064 who are struggling to afford their health insurance premiums. In a recent government-funding bill, she also secured an extra $14 million to fully fund supportive services for seniors.

Last year, McSally voted for the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act — the only candidate in this Senate race to do so. The average family of four will see an additional $2,059 in their paycheck each year because of this tax cut. We are seeing our economy thrive thanks to McSally’s support on this issue.

Arizonans are smarter than the outof-state liberals secretly funding these false attacks. While the special-interest groups continue to lie about her record, Congresswoman McSally leads the fight to protect our seniors, improve our health care and cut our taxes.

Arizona voters deserve the truth, not misleading attack ads. McSally spent 26 years in the Air Force fighting to protect our country, and we know she will fight just as hard in the Senate to protect our health care and our pocketbooks.
