TEMPE – June Stephens Dorcheus, 84, of Tempe, Arizona passed away August 6, 2018 with her family at her side. June was born to William W. Stephens, Jr. and Eleanor (Findlay) Stephens on January 1, 1934 in Syracuse, New York.

In the early 1950s June worked for Brown–LipeChapin, a division of General Motors before leaving the workforce to start a family that eventually led to 7 children. In the 1970s she spent time as an innkeeper for a snowmobile­r lodge at Big Moose Lake in the Adirondack­s before going to work for Black Clawson in Oswego, NY. June moved to Arizona in 1979 and enjoyed working as an executive administra­tive assistant for 15 years between Scottsdale Memorial and Desert Samaritan Hospitals. During retirement she loved volunteeri­ng at the St. Vincent de Paul Society Thrift Shop while living in Pinetop, serving on the HOA board of directors for her Tempe residentia­l community and spending many summers in Prescott with her beloved husband, Allen. June loved spending time in the mountains whether it was in the Adirondack Mountains, Pinetop, Show Low, Munds Park or Prescott. She loved all things rustic and woodsy.

June is preceded in death by her husband Allen Dorcheus and son Douglas Georgianni. She is survived by her six children: Michelle (John) Kohl, Melanie Georgianni, Jeffry Georgianni, Martin (Debbie) Georgianni, Gene Cianfarano and Julie (Paul) Kent; eight grandchild­ren: Charles, Kimberly, Kevin, Jeffrey, Nicholas, Cooper, Rhonda and Finley; and two great grandchild­ren: Avery and Brooks.

Services were held August 10. Interment Hansen Desert Hills Memorial Park.

June truly cared about her family, friends and neighbors. She will be remembered as a beloved wife, loving mother and devoted friend. We will miss all the wonderful hats, scarves and dish cloths she lovingly knitted or crocheted, her delicious home-baked desserts and her endearing laughter.
