Pfizer chief operating officer Bourla to succeed Read as CEO
The biggest U.S.-based drugmaker will change leaders in January when Pfizer Chief Operating Officer Albert Bourla replaces CEO Ian Read, who has led the company for nearly eight years.
Pfizer Inc. said Monday that Read will become executive chairman of Pfizer’s board of directors.
Longtime Facebook executive Mosseri new head of Instagram
Facebook is naming Adam Mosseri, a 10-year veteran at the company, as the head of Instagram.
The appointment comes after the photo-sharing app’s co-founders resigned last week without giving a clear reason. Kevin Systrom, Instagram’s CEO, and Mike Krieger, its other cofounder, announced Mosseri’s appointment Monday on the company blog.
Mosseri was named as Instagram’s head of product in May. He began as a designer at Facebook and most recently led its news feed.
New Fiat Chrysler CEO Manley announces management changes
The new CEO of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles has announced management changes two months after taking over following the unexpected death of longtime Chief Executive Sergio Marchionne.
Mike Manley said Monday that the head of the Alfa Romeo brand, Tim Kuniskis, replaces him at the head of Jeep, while Reid Bigland becomes head of the Ram brand.
