Robert W. Kersting

PARADISE VALLEY – Robert W. Kersting, passed away peacefully into the arms of our Lord on Oct 11, 2018. He is in heaven with his mother Juanita Wilmoth, his father Eugene “Red” Kersting and his brother Eugene “Gene” Kersting.

Bob was born in Grafton, West Virginia and moved to Arizona in 1964.

He majored insurance at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Bob was appointed General Agent for the state of Arizona in 1964 and retired from that position after 28 years at the helm and total of 70 years with the company. He recruited and trained agents who helped to provide over 2.4 billion in life insurance in the Arizona community. He left an incredible insurance legacy and has impacted so many lives through his good works

He served as a First Lieutenant in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict.

Bob married his beautiful bride Carolyn Pierce in 1961. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn and his children, Carolyn O’Brien and Robert W. Kersting Jr.

Bob always had a smile and was a wonderful “Grandaddy” to his three grandchildren - Shea O’Brien, Preston Kersting and Tatum Kersting.

He enjoyed spending time at Paradise Valley Country Club with his family and friends.

He was a great husband, dad, mentor and friend. Bob will forever be known for his phrase to others “You are the Best”.

Memorial Service to Celebrate Bob’s life Tues October 23, 2018 at 2 PM, Paradise Valley United Methodist, 4455 E Lincoln Drive, Paradise Valley, AZ 85253. Reception following at the church.
