PHOENIX – Passed away on October 10, 2018 in Phoenix, Arizona at the age of 88. Roland was born in Cleveland, Ohio on December 27, 1929 to Frank and Edith Wenz. He married Louise Schmoll in 1950, and for 64 years shared a love that is an inspiratio­n to us all. Roland loved his job in the printing trades at the AZ Republic and Cleveland Plain Dealer. He was very proud of his accomplish­ments as a union officer for many years and for serving in the US Marine Corps Reserves. His hobbies included cooking, gardening, walking his dogs, and most of all being with his wife. He is preceded in death by his parents, his sister Jean Wells, and his beloved wife, Louise. Roland is survived by his sister Diane, his sister-in-law Irene, and his 3 loving children - Denise Krisko, Roland Wenz (Mary Wenz), and Darlene Hester (Terry Hester). He was blessed with 6 grandchild­ren Amy Krisko, Beth Krisko (Shawn Irvin), Kristie Morales (Robert Morales), Jessica Wenz, Brandon Hester (Chelsey Hester), and Ryan Hester. Roland also had 8 beautiful great-grandchild­ren and was a wonderful uncle and friend to many.
