10 places that will prepare your pies for Thanksgivi­ng

Short on time this Thanksgivi­ng? With a little planning, you can still bring a hand-crafted dessert to your holiday get-together.

Many local restaurant­s and bakeries are taking pre-orders for pumpkin, pecan, apple and other seasonal pie favorites. The best part? No dirty dishes — or baking skills — required.

Here are 10 places to order a holiday pie that will impress your guests.

Luci’s Healthy Marketplac­e

The central Phoenix cafe is taking pumpkin pie ($12.99) and pecan pie ($14.99) pre-orders for the Thanksgivi­ng holiday. Place an order by calling Luci’s Healthy Marketplac­e or Luci’s at the Orchard.

Orders must be placed by Tuesday, Nov. 20, to get your pie in time for Thanksgivi­ng dinner. Pie pickup is at Luci’s Healthy Marketplac­e on the day before Thanksgivi­ng, Wednesday, Nov. 21, between 3 and 6 p.m.

True Food Kitchen

Looking for a healthier spin on the traditiona­l holiday pie? True Food Kitchen, which has locations in Phoenix and Scottsdale, is taking pre-orders for its vegan, gluten-free squash pie ($25). The pie features a vegan graham crust filled with pureed butternut squash, topped with dairy-free coconut whipped cream.

You can pre-order through Sunday, Nov. 18. Pies will be available for pickup on Tuesday, Nov. 20, and Wednesday, Nov. 21.

❚ Gluten-free midnight chocolate pie ($27).

If you’re ordering for Thanksgivi­ng dinner, place your order by Friday, Nov. 16, and pick up your dessert on Tuesday, Nov. 20, or Wednesday, Nov. 21. For an additional $4.99, you can also order a pint of homemade whipped cream.

❚ Cranberry apple pie ($24.95).

❚ Pecan pie ($24.95).

Orders can be placed by telephone or online, and can be picked up in person or shipped to your home address. If you want to ship a pie in time for Thanksgivi­ng, place your order by Friday, Nov. 16. If you plan to pick up your pie in person, the last day to place an online or phone order is Thursday, Nov. 18.
