No more money for this lousy crop of Phoenix sports owners

- Keith F. Greenberg, Phoenix Arizona Republic, Chris Jensen, Cottonwood Robert Fournier, Mesa Alan Gillespie, Kachina Village Robert Archer, Scottsdale

As far as I can tell we are the only metropolis with all four major sports teams in which each team has its own individual stadium to play in.

What have we gotten for this?

As of today’s standings, the Suns have the worst record in the NBA.

The Coyotes are tied for the secondworst record in the NHL.

The Cardinals are tied for the worst record in the NFL.

And the Diamondbacks are considering trading Paul Goldschmidt.

The Suns want the City of Phoenix to spend $150 million to upgrade their facility. The Diamondbacks want even more to upgrade Chase field. The Coyotes don’t have a stadium to play in after 2019.

Record wise we have to be the most abysmal pro sports city in America.

Let’s not spend any more public money to give to rich owners who aren’t providing anything of value in return

Let the asylum seekers in; Trump manufactured this border crisis

As Phil Boas stated in Wednesday’s Obama would have also used tear gas in the same situation at the border.

The difference is that the crisis would not have happened under Obama.

Trump intentionally manufactured this crisis by attempting to change legislation passed by Congress via executive order to gin up his far-right base.

Legislation passed by Congress allows immigrants to present themselves for asylum regardless of how they entered America.

Let the asylum seekers in and present their case.

Judges can those requests.

Trump is not above the law. correctly then approve or deny

I can see the change and it is hopeful. I saw that the amount of lawsuits against our county declined now that there is a new sheriff in town.

#RedforEd has caused positive change for the future of our children. Now my biggest hope is that in 2020 we vote out Trump and vote in a person who can restore sanity, intelligence, honesty, compassion and a country free of Russian influence.

Maybe one of the positive things that will happen is that the United States of America will again be the proud leader of the entire world.

In 2016 Trump made a stump speech in Warren, Mich. He bragged that “If I’m elected, you won’t lose one auto plant.”

He was right. Because they did not lose one auto plant.

They lost five!

Tragically the plant in Warren, Mich. was one of them.

Promises made, promises kept?

Note to Phil Boas. Obama did use tear gas on immigrants in 2013 at the rate of at least once a month.
