PHOENIX – December 27, 1921 - January 3, 2019

Arthur was a true gentleman, always polite and caring about everyone. He was a happy person and always had a kind word. Arthur played the trumpet in the Band while graduating from University of Pittsburgh. Art served in the Air Force during World War II, and received a Purple Heart when his ship was hit by a kamikaze. After retiring from US Steel, Art and Mary Ann played golf where he made 4 hole-in-ones. Mary Ann, was his wife of 43 years and love of his life who passed in 1995. Mary Ann would play the piano while Art sang. They loved to dance. Art had a wealth of knowledge at 97 and remained a master of crossword puzzles. Was known by all in later years as Grandpa. Survived by daughter Ruth Ann and son Arthur Jr along with their spouses, 3 granddaugh­ters, 2 grandsons and 2 great granddaugh­ters. Art was so proud of all of them. A memorial mass will be held at St Paul’s Catholic Church February 23 at 10:30 AM.
