Girl Scout cookies aren’t a tough sell. But 8-year-old Dolcé Contreras makes it almost impossible to resist.

Three years running, she has pitched cookies by making music videos.

This year’s is set to “Cups” from her favorite movie, “Pitch Perfect.” Instead of plastic cups, Dolcé shuffles cookie boxes, swapping the original lyrics with her own:

“I am back to sell Girl Scout cookies to you,

Thin Mints, Samoas and Tagalongs, and I sure would like to sell some to you. Whadda you say?”

It’s one way Girl Scouts has changed the way it sells cookies, Susan de Queljoe of Girl Scouts–Arizona Cactus-Pine Council said.

Girl Scouts go door-to-door, carting cookies instead of order forms.

You can find cookie booths on your phone. Plug your zip code into the Cookie Finder app; it tells you where to get your fix.

If you don’t have cash, they take plastic. If you know a Girl Scout like Dolcé, you can buy online.

This is their world. Girl Scouts earn badges for programming, robotics and cyber-security.

The first year Dolcé made a video using Meghan Trainor’s “All About That Bass,” which she made all about those cookies. It got 16,000 views. She sold 1,200 boxes.

The video Dolcé made last year to Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” won first place in the council’s contest. She sold more than 1,000 boxes.

Dolcé picks the song. She and her mom come up with lyrics. Dad runs the camera. Sister Luna, 5, a Daisy scout, dances in a cookie costume.

Dolcé is shy. “But when it comes to this, she gets out there and is super confident,” her mom Misty Cisneros-Contreras said.

Her Troop No. 3814 in Ahwatukee uses money earned to go to camp and ship cookies to military troops.

This is Dolcé’s fourth year as a Girl Scout. “I love being with my friends and learning how to be a leader,” she said.

She’s starting with cookies.
