Eight are finalists for player of the year

Here are The Arizona Republic's eight finalists for Girls Tennis Player of the Year, who comprise of the All-Arizona team. Tristanne Dechoux, Phoenix Xavier Prep

University of New Orleans commit who completed her high school career by leading Xavier Prep to its second Division I state title since 2015. Dechoux went undefeated in singles and doubles play during the regular season and was the No. 2 seed who lost in the state singles semifinals to the runner-up Savanna Kollock.

Catherine Broerman, Scottsdale Horizon

Gonzaga commit who had an 11-2 season record the fourth seed in the Division I state singles tournament. Broerman lost in the semifinals to the two-time defending champion Josie Frazier.

Sofia Fetsis, Pusch Ridge Christian Academy

Two-time defending Division III state single champion who never lost a set in the state tournament.

Emily Flowers, Tucson Catalina Foothills

Dominated the Division II singles state tournament as the top seed who never lost a set and helped lead Catalina Foothills to its fifteenth state championsh­ip.

Josie Frazier, Scottsdale Desert Mountain

The 2018 azcentral sports Player of the Year who capped off this season winning her second consecutiv­e and third overall Division I singles state title. Frazier helped lead a remarkable 53-match win streak for last season's team champion Desert Mountain. The Illinois commit was the top seed in the singles tournament who beat her teammate Savanna Kollock and was is one of the most decorated players in state history.

McKenna Koenig, Scottsdale Desert Mountain

Was the defending Division I state doubles champion and No. 2 seed with her partner Hailey

Stelse before being defeated by Emi Visic and Rimona Rouf of Desert

Vista in this season's state doubles final.

Annabelle Mulick, Tucson Catalina Foothills

Cruised in the state singles tournament as the No. 3 seed who never let her opponents win more than two games through the semifinals before losing to her teammate Emily Flowers in straight sets 6-1, 6-0 in the championsh­ip match.

Emi Visic, Phoenix Desert Vista

Midwestern State University commit who is one-half of the top seed and champion Desert Vista. Visic is a Tempe City Champion in Singles and Doubles and was a Phoenix Kiwanis Tournament singles finalist.
