4 Sun Devils on All-Pac-12 baseball team

Four Arizona State players are on the All-Pac-12 baseball team, the most since 2016.

ASU's home run-hitting duo of outfielder Hunter Bishop and first baseman Spencer Torkelson are on the 33-player team announced Wednesday, along with pitcher Alec Marsh and catcher/ designated hitter Lyle Lin.

Bishop and Torkelson are first and second in the Pac-12 in homers with 22 and 21, respective­ly, going into the NCAA Tournament.

ASU also had four players make AllPac-12 honorable mention — shortstop Alika Williams, outfielder Trevor Hauver, third baseman Gage Workman and pitcher Brady Corrigan.

Williams is on the all-defensive team, which includes Workman and second baseman Drew Swift as honorable mentions.

ASU also had four All-Pac-12 picks in 2016 but just one in 2017 and two in 2018, including Torkelson.

Arizona catcher/first baseman Austin Wells is the Pac-12 Freshman of the Year.

The Wildcats' All-Pac-12 selections are infielders Cameron Cannon of Glendale and Nick Quintana, while Donta Williams is on the all-defensive team.

The Pac-12 major award winners are: Oregon State's Adley Rutschman (Player of the Year), Rutschman and Stanford's Maverick Handley (Defensive Players of the Year), UCLA's Ryan Garcia (Pitcher of the Year) and UCLA's John Savage (Coach of the Year).
