3A Central Region

Queen Creek Benjamin Franklin, Coolidge, Florence, San Tan Foothills. The favorite: ALA-QC. Coming off a probation year, this team is fired up to run the table, but the schedule is grueling.

The contender: Benjamin Franklin. After a quarterfinal finish, the team is ready to take it to another level behind RB/DE Zach Jefferies and QB/DB Danner Bowen.

The sleeper: Florence. Young, but very talented and will be back to playing physical. The star: Florence DE Regen Terry. At 6-foot-4, 240 pounds, the senior is a dominant force on defense and the most highly recruited player in school history. The date: Sept. 20, ALA-QC travels to play Yuma Catholic in what could be a 3A final showdown preview.

It's time for two-a-days, a continuing series, examining each region in Arizona for the 2019 high school football season.
