Neighbors Higley, unbeaten Campo Verde to meet

-

Kai Millner, QB, 6-2, 180, Jr.

It took him a few games to find his rhythm but he’s been heating up for the Knights, throwing for 1,429 yards and 18 TDs. Even before starting his first varsity game this year, Millner was on the Power 5 radar, picking up offers from Michigan State, Arizona State and Arizona. He is just now scratching the surface of his potential.

Zack Kriens, LB, 6-2, 225, Sr. Coach Eddy Zubey loves this guy and has been trying to get Power 5 programs to take a serious look. He became eligible two games ago after having to sit out the first five games because of his transfer from Mesa Skyline. Very versatile backer who can play inside and outside and can cover receivers.

A.J. Laux, OL, 6-4, 275, Sr.

He also became eligible two games ago. He changed the offensive line with his motor and toughness. He can spring backs loose for big plays and protect Millner in the pocket.

Alex Lines, TE/DE, 6-4, 230, Sr.

He has 17 catches for 184 yards. He is versatile, a great blocker who can get downfield and make big catches in tight windows to extend drives. He is a 247Sports composite three-star who has offers from Boise State, BYU, Colorado, Iowa State, Louisville, Memphis, Syracuse, Utah State, Utah and Oregon State.

Isaiah Eastman, Athlete, 5-10, 185, Sr.

He has come into his own this season, so colleges are just now getting him on their radar. A receiver, he filled in earlier in the year at running back and took off with his speed and cutback moves. Brail Lipford, CB, 5-10, 175, Sr.

He has 14 tackles, an interception and a pass deflection. His athleticism and ball skills stand out.

He is the consummate team player who loves to work. His wrestling skills have carried over to the football field, helping him get away from tacklers. He has more than 1,100 rushing yards in seven games.

Jayden Fletcher, LB, 5-11, 195, Sr.

He is one of the reasons why the Coyotes’ defense has been their glue. He plays with reckless abandon and has piled up 192 tackles in his varsity career. Ameer Dalbik, DE, 6-5, 225, Sr.

He has 27 tackles and five sacks, great motor and relentless pass rusher.

Chad Roderick, CB, 5-6, 155, Sr.

He might be undersized but he makes up for it with his work ethic and willingness to play anywhere on the field to help the team win.

Diego Valles, OL/DL, 6-0, 240, Sr. He is still growing and has the footwork and high motor to stand out. Jake Leighty, OL/DL, 6-0, 230, Jr. Another hard-nosed player who could make it at a four-year college.

Connor Calloway, RB/LB, 6-0, 185, So.

Younger brother of Caden, he is bigger and could wind up at a four-year college playing linebacker.

Zach Herrera, QB, 6-1, 160, Sr. Campo Verde likes to run, but he has the arm and speed to keep the defense off balance.

Ryan Hutchens, WR, 6-2, 185, Sr. Good size and hands, he has 14 catches for 235 yards and three TDs.
